What is firmer than the clay, clearer than the water it is kneaded with, more powerful than the fire in its kiln, more real than the colour that embellishes it? These are the materials we work with and handle on a daily basis, as both raw materials and in our manufacturing processes. Of course they have been developed, but have remained close to their millennia-old roots, ennobled and transformed into products of great aesthetic and clear functional value.

It is impossible to imagine our company being based anywhere but Florence. We are bound to the city, not
only by our history and gratitude to the founder and noble father of our adventure, but also by the beauty of every street, every building and every image that Florence offers up.

Development never ceases, the human spirit looks to the future and techniques move towards previously
unimaginable goals. The skill in our work also lies in ancient gestures, all by hand, and in open-mindedness,
always innovating. At our company, hands and minds continue to work together magnificently.

It is difficult, if not impossible, to find as eclectic and versatile a figure as Galileo Chini in Italian history of art.
His irrepressible artistic personality led him to work in a multitude of expressions: as a decorator, illustrator,
designer, town planner, painter and, above all, as a sublime potter. A major figure of the fin de siècle (1873-1956), he introduced Art Nouveau to Italy, participating in all the major International Exhibitions of his time and decorating public and private buildings alike. He worked on the décor of the Dusit Palace in Bangkok for King Rama V and taught at the Accademia in Florence, his students there including such luminaries as Ottone Rosai, Primo Conti and Marino Marini. However, his artistic personality did not impede his entrepreneurial spirit. Together with his cousin Chino, he founded the “L’Arte della Ceramica” (Art of Ceramics) manufactory, and later the “Fornaci (Kilns) di San Lorenzo”, his aim always to unite art and craftsmanship. In turn, we are the heirs and custodians of this uniqueness. This is the treasure that enriches us.

There is an energy, an almost magic spirit that raises the material and gives it life: Art. To this day, we continue to draw inspiration and guidance from the great man who was Galileo Chini, who transformed our business into a fascinating, exciting human adventure.

Pecchioli doesn't just create wall coverings and surfaces: it creates scenarios. Each project begins with a dialogue with the client and takes shape through handcrafted workmanship, authentic materials, and a culture of beauty rooted in history yet looking to the future. Our collections, from gres artistico to glazed lava, from cotto del Mugello to decorated ceramics, tell a journey between tradition and modernity, where each piece is designed to be unique and unrepeatable. We believe in ceramics that transform spaces into environments full of character, into surfaces that evoke emotions, into projects that last over time.

Everything is done in-house: production, decoration, enameling, and finishing. Each step is carefully overseen, every detail the fruit of experience and artisanal sensitivity. We work to measure, with a tailored approach that allows each creation to be adapted to its context. We are faithful to our history, yet open to experimentation: this balance between past and present allows us to offer original, sophisticated solutions capable of interpreting even the most complex projects with personality. In every Pecchioli surface there is a fragment of our history, our city, and our understanding of beauty.
